My name is Michael and I've been a Mobile DJ for over 19 years in the Baltimore/Washington area. I've performed at over 700 Wedding Receptions in that time and nearly three times that many events of all types. My equipment includes the most dependable names in audio including   Numark, Gemini, Peavey, Crown, Bose, and Technics. I've found over the years that proper pre-planning of events with customers combined with my versatility and experience can produce some awesome results!

My collection of music now exceeds 35,000 song selections dating back to the 1930's,and covering virtually all musical genres. I get about 40 new songs per month to keep current in new selections of pop, rock, r&b, country, and adult contemporary. In addition to providing music however, I always view it as part of my job to keep the event flowing as smoothly as possible, transitioning from cocktail hour to introductions to dinner and beyond seamlessly and promptly.

In addition to being a DJ, I've taught country, swing, and line dancing in various situations. While this might not be appropriate for many events, if you and your guests have the interest and willingness to participate, I'm sure I can help.

From my husband, who in his delight with DJ Mike decided to write the review himself:
Although I was in charge of finding the “DJ”, my wife and I interviewed with several different people and companies. Then we came across Event Entertainment, who were recommended by another DJ that was booked on our weekend. I left a voicemail for Dave Holmes and he promptly returned my call. I had requested a meeting to see if they would be suitable for our event. We met with DJ Mike and we quickly realized he would be the perfect fit. Out of all the meetings we had, he was the only one that listened to what we wanted-simple and elegant.
On the day of the wedding, DJ Mike was truly outstanding. The 2941 Restaurant was our venue. Security at the General Dynamics Building is crazy. As much as they delayed DJ Mike, he didn’t miss a beat. He had everything setup on time outside on the terrace and in the reception area. Thanks to DJ Mike, our guess didn’t even realize the ceremony was late because of a minor glitch on our part. From the introductions, to the first dance, all the way to the last dance, DJ Mike kept the party going.
This is what really stood out for us when we reflect on that night. DJ Mike is a true professional. To us, a true professional listens to what you have to say, makes great suggestions when asked and delivers when it counts. During dinner, he kept the music simple and elegant. DJ Mike let me know when songs were requested that were not appropriate. One of the things that we thought were amazing was fact that he always had people dancing. We believe he was the reason that we were able to see everyone (100% of our guests) dance.
Overall, our experience with Dave and DJ Mike was truly outstanding and refreshing in an area (D.C.) were customer service is not always excellent. Both were very helpful and accommodating. DJ Mike made our event. We would use their service again in a heartbeat.

Mike was wonderful! I can not say a enough good things about Mike. He was very easy to work with over the phone (as we did not meet until the day of) and I was impressed with his professionalism and creativity. My Groom and I have very diverse music tastes and he was able to weave the event together seamlessly. Mike played everything from Louis Armstrong to the Black Eyed Peas like it was just an every day occurrence. Mike was an excellent DJ at our wedding.  His lively personality inspired all and he truly knows how to run the show.  Before the wedding, he was very good at keeping in touch, and organizing everything so that we, and he, knew how to make it run smoothly.  He was prompt and efficient, very friendly, and presented himself very well, in appearance, clothes and personality.  We couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our big day.  He knows his music well, helps with dances, and has a great speaking voice to boot!  I would highly recommend him for ANY event, as he even allows you to choose his personality style to fit the occasion!  All in all, our experience with Mike was amazing, and that's an understatement!  He's truly remarkable at what he does, and it shows!  If we had to do it all again, we'd definitely choose Mike!
